I hope to graduate December 2012 however if that doesn't happen May 2013 is just as fantastic. I have a lot of interest but most of the time school comes first. I hope to one day be able to travel to see places like Stonehenge and Easter Island. I find those places interesting.

Friends and Vacation day..

I have a friend who doesn’t understand school. Almost, every day near lunch time we have the same conversation.  She says, “Do you have a test this week?” I say, “No, but I have papers to write.” She just looks at me as if I just told her a lie. The problem is this; she is used to eating lunch with someone else. I have studied during my lunch time for so long, that when I don’t I panic. I know people who do not attend school outside of high school generally do not understand studying.  On one hand I can understand, but on the other I can’t.  If someone tells you politely they can’t eat with you every day because of homework. I would get the picture especially if I have known them for a year. I do keep telling her, “Don’t worry. When I finish with school we can eat lunch together every day!

We had a great time on our two day adventure. We ended up in Hot Springs, AR. The weather was perfect at 78 degrees or there about on both days. We walked along Bath House Row, entering in and out of small shops. The next day we visited the only bath house that is open to the public for viewing. It was an interesting piece of history. I took a couple of my school books with me. I was able to read some information as we drove to and from Hot Springs. I really enjoyed just spending time doing nothing. I wish the trip could have lasted longer, but reality sets in when deadlines fast approach. I hope I am able to go on another trip like that before next year.

  2. I totally understand about the situation with your friend who is not in school. All of my friends have either graduated or never went to college; either way, I am really the only one in my friend group that is currently in school. As frustrating as it is for people like us to have to repeatedly say no to things because of school commitments, I have realized that it is also very annoying for the friends that constantly have to eat lunch or do other things by themselves because someone else is consistently busy. All in all, it will be much better for everyone when we are out of school. Haha And I'm glad you had fun on you trip!

  3. I can relate to the situation with your friend since I have been on both sides of the fence. Not going to college until being well into my 30s and 40s, I never understood how college worked. Once my daughter started college, I was constantly asking her "if she had a test that week." I was asking, not only as a concerned mother, but because I just didn't know. Her reply was always "ma, I don't have tests every week." Of course that did not stop me from asking the same question the following week. :o) Once I started college myself, I understood how tests and papers worked. Now, I am the one who is constantly asked, if I have a test to study for or a paper to write. I'm the one who states during the conversation that I'm studying for a test and the other person continues to talk. I find myself thinking, didn't I just tell them I was studying. :o) I'm glad you had a great trip and I'm sure some much needed downtime. Have a great weekend!

  4. Bath house row is amazing. I love it in Hot Springs! Now that its a little cooler, I bet it was a fun time. As for the friend situation, most of the people I hang out with are in school, so they understand. The one person who does understand at times is my fiance. He just lost his job and he feels now that he has all the time in the world he wants us to go do everything. But I have classes and work to focus on and sometimes he just doesnt get the hint.

  5. I am so glad ya'll understand. I don't know what it is like to be on the outside looking in. I have been in school and most of my friends were in school before I met them. My sister never knows my schedule. It's crazy she does me the same way.. lol.

  6. I can understand both sides. I went to college straight out of high school and I didn't really know what I wanted to do with my life. I was eighteen and I skipped class and ate lunch with friends all day. I didn't stay in college for very long. I am twenty-eight now, and I know exactly what I want to do. I am so focused on school and meeting deadlines that I often have to tell people "sorry, I cant.I have a paper to write...or a test to study for". Most people just don't understand.
