I hope to graduate December 2012 however if that doesn't happen May 2013 is just as fantastic. I have a lot of interest but most of the time school comes first. I hope to one day be able to travel to see places like Stonehenge and Easter Island. I find those places interesting.

If tea cups could talk

I was at a friend’s house when I saw a book titled “If tea cups could talk”. I thought what an interesting title. I had never been in her house until that Friday evening and when I looked around my friend’s home I realized that she had a lot of tea cups. The title of the book got me to thinking what would happen if tea cups could talk. What would it say and would it repeat what you and your friends were talking about? When I think of tea cup parties I instantly think of “Alice in Wonderland” which I thoroughly enjoyed the remake featuring Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. I just keep thinking about what a tea cup would say if it could talk. If I had a tea cup that could talk it would probably say random things and laugh hysterically. They all have one thing in common they listen to the stories that are told by the person drinking out of it. Tea cups are just like people they come in all different colors, shapes, and sizes. I found that book very interesting even though I never opened it.
I think the next time I visit my friend I will have to open the book to see what it is about..

  1. That makes me think as well. If teacups could talk, would they spill all of your secrets that you tell your friends? Would they just giggles and say crazy things, such as the Mad Hatter does in Alice in Wonderland? It just makes you think what if the inanimate objects in our lives could talk and remind us of what we said!

  2. That brings to mind the saying "if walls could talk". I envision teacups and walls taking in all the secrets, laughter and tears between friends, husbands and wives and siblings. I wonder, would they sympathize, empathize and be nonjudgemental of what they see and hear, or would they tell all our secrets to the first lamp, table or chair that came along.

Talking teacups remind me of the Disney movie "Beauty and the Beast". The teapot, Mrs. Potts, had a son Chip, a teacup. Chip was mischievous, and loved to know and repeat everything that was going on in the castle. Though cute, Chip is one talking teacup I could do without.

  3. @ TinkerBella I wondered that too would they tell my secrets? I think I would be very afraid if tea cups could talk.. lol.

@ delicateflower45 if my walls could talk I think they would have a lot to talk about. The things they hear and see it would be interesting to know how they heard it or saw it. I actually forgot about the Disney movie "Beauty and the Beast". I don't think I would want a tea cup like Chip either.

  4. This definitely makes you wonder about all the news people talk about over tea time. Or even the gossip and secrets that are shared. I wonder how many peoples' teacups could get them in a world of trouble. Teacups are filled with love, hurt, lies, and truths.

  5. I collect tea cups, too. They are in my china cabinet--I usually pour my tea into mugs these days! I'd like to know who owned them before I bought them--where they lived, who they saw. I'm sure they have interesting histories.

  6. @ The Law - I really had to think about this because you know if people feel confident in their friends they tell them everything. I imagine a lot of people's tea cups would get them in trouble.

@dotsmom - I found it really interesting topic because I was not expecting my friend to have them in her house. I am sure that most of the older ones have a lot of interesting history. I think that would be a great story to listen too.
