I hope to graduate December 2012 however if that doesn't happen May 2013 is just as fantastic. I have a lot of interest but most of the time school comes first. I hope to one day be able to travel to see places like Stonehenge and Easter Island. I find those places interesting.

Horse meat.. lol..

Horse Meat

I haven't laughed really hard in a long time until I read this title. I personally don't think I am up to eating horse meat. I used to work at Louisiana Downs. In the morning's I would have to drive around to the backside of the track. I enjoyed viewing the racehorses. That is definitely one thing I miss. The power they have is amazing. Where I worked was just on the backside of the grandstands. So when racing was going on you could hear people yell, and cheer for hours. It was fantastic to hear.

I'm not really sure I could eat horse meat. I have a hard time eating beef and chicken. I don't eat deer, rabbit, duck, or any animal. So I'm not really sure how I could eat that. Then you hear stories of people eating cats and dogs. That really grosses me out. I have issues, however, I did find this story interesting. The article says that horse meat is better than cow, but I just can't eat it.

  1. Hey Sara!
You need to click edit on your blog and add your website as a link! It will also ask if you want to display the http: or you can have it highlighted as one of the words in your blog. I hope this helps you in time to make the change (:

  2. I'm with you on the horse meat. I also cannot eat deer, bison or even duck. I on the other hand do eat chicken, seafood and beef. I try my best to stay away from pork. If I had more will power, I would love to become a vegetarian. One day that just may happen.

  3. There is no way I would eat horse either! My husband and the men in my family are avid hunters. Just like a child, they make me taste everything. One animal I have hardest time with is a hog. If you have ever seen a wild hog then you would understand. They are disgusting looking animals. I think imagining any "food" alive makes us not want to eat it. It helps to not to think about where it came from.

  4. I don't think I could eat any meat that I would consider a pet. (Dog, cat, horse ect) When I was younger, my grandfather would eat squirrels and I would cry because they were so cute!

  5. I think there are two logical ways of thinking about eating meat-- 1) view animals as a source of food (therefore, eating whatever you want of it) or 2) choose not to eat meat at all. Unfortunately, I do not adhere to my own rules of logic. Haha I, as well, am in the gray area.

  7. I don't think I could knowingly eat horse meat. I'm planning to get some chickens to raise for eggs, and I'm wondering if my view of eating chicken will change, too. I don't plan to kill them for the stew pot, but, still. I don't have a problem being a vegetarian, but I sometimes just want some meat.

    Interesting article.
