So my friends and I were supposed to be going to the corn maze this weekend. However, due to a few technical difficulties we aren't. It's alright. Things happen for a reason.
I'm not sure what is in store other than studying for a test next week. And working on class work for my other classes.
This week has really been difficult my father passed away three years ago. I can't stop thinking about him. He was a great father. I miss him all the time. I am beginning not to like the month of October. Last week a friend of mine lost her mother.
I'm ready for the fair. Not really sure why. I am afraid of heights. The thought of getting off the ground freaks me out. I love flying but cant stand the thought of getting off the ground. I don't eat a lot of the foods but I do like an elephant ear. When we were younger my parents would take us to the fair. We would buy one and split it between 5 people. Those are some of the greatest memories. Now they cost $5.00 or more. They are smaller than I remember them. However, they are still good.
Usually when November gets here things start changing. I'm looking forward to the cooler temperatures. I'm not sure what is in store with the holidays coming. I look forward to a break when school is over this semester.
I'm sorry about your dad and your friend's mother. :( What a rough couple of weeks. November is right around the corner. Things will look up soon. :)
ReplyDeleteI've never been to the fair. I always wanted to go as a kid, but never was allowed to (for some odd reason I still don't understand). I want to go this year for the first time! I can't wait!
That is exciting that you are going to the fair for the first time. I was really young my first time. I think I know the reason behind my fear of heights. One night my mother decided she and I needed to ride the double ferris wheel. If that tells you how young I was. Well the guy working it thought it would be cool to stop us at the very top. I could feel the seat rocking from the wind that was blowing. I have been scared every since. lol. Well I really hope you have a great time.
ReplyDeleteSara,
ReplyDeleteSorry about your father and your friends father. This is understandibly a difficult month for you. God will get you through. He always does.
I have lived in Louisiana for a little over two years and have yet to go to the State Fair. My hubby thinks it's a good idea that we go this year and I am inclined to agree. So off to the fair we go.
I have never been to a corn maze. My daughter just explained to me what it was. It sounds like something I would like to do. Hopefully, you and your friends will be able to make it there in the near future. Have a good weekend with whatever you decide to do.
I understand your loss.It is going on 6 years since I lost my grandmother. She was a big part of my life and its hard to imagine it with out her.
ReplyDeleteThe fair is one of my biggest memories. I had so much fun when I was younger but now it seems like things are way too expensive and people dont seem as nice. Luckily, my mother gets discount all you can ride passes and we dont have to worry too much on costs
I can tell through reading this that you are healing from the passing of your Dad. Yes a tough time, but you are thinking on the best happy moments of your life, including your father & repeating them!
ReplyDeleteI'm also going to enjoy a weekend home studying! Kind of thankful for it!
I hope you all have a great time when you go to the fair. It really is great but your right TinkerBella it is expensive. I just enjoy walking around and looking at stuff. I hardly ever buy anything.
ReplyDeleteI really appreciate the nice words ya'll.. I miss my dad but I know he is taken care of.. It is definitely great to have memories..
Sad anniversaries are difficult to get through. I often think about my grandmother around the time she died...I wish she were still here.
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the fair. I'm not a particular fan of it.
